Based on letters between Bogdan and his friends Ewa and Janka we can find out how young people were spending their free time in the interwar period.
Some activities haven’t changed until now, for example sport. Through his correspondence and also photos from Bogdan’s album, we know that teenagers were riding bikes and ice skating. Janka related that she was on a school trip at a boat house.
In summer they were spending free time by the river. Janka told that girls were sunbathing while Bogdan preferred to sit in the water and flirt with girls. Janka also related about an outing with a group of friends, where they were paddling in kayaks and slept in the forest at night.
Both girls - Ewa and Janka – wrote about parties where they were dancing and flirting.
Based on letters we can also find out that formerly young people spent more time on cultural entertainment like museums, theatres, reading poetry and sometimes writing their own poems.
